Pom Poms and Pirouettes: Dressage in Disguise Show

For the second year in a row, Pip and I attended the Dressage in Disguise / Jeepers Creepers Jump Show hosted by Orion Equestrian in Lynden, WA. Kelsy and Patti from Nayborly Farms also joined us for the trip north.

This all-indoor event works perfectly as an end-of-season-have-some-fun show, made even more entertaining by Halloween-themed costume classes. Horses and riders turned out in all manner of creative costumes! Pip and I had a great time dusting of our dressage moves in the full-court arena (we’re still working on balance for those lead changes so they aren’t late behind!). Many thanks to our friends who made the weekend fun and comfortable. Thanks especially to the Gibson Family and Briarcroft Haflingers for providing us with a place to stay and to Brandon Dieleman for some of the pictures featured below.
